MAXUS North West
MAXUS North West
Maxus North West is a commercial vehicle dealer for SAIC MAXUS, selling electric and diesel vans to fleet operators across the North West from their Preston HQ. Their old site was a slow, cluttered brochure site that read like a faceless broker and did nothing to separate their electric range from legacy diesel, right as EV became their priority line. I rebuilt it into a conversion-focused B2B lead engine on a modular template system shared with their sister brand, keeping it fast to produce and consistent across both.

RESEARCH
RESEARCH
The business runs on B2B lead generation, getting fleet operators to enquire, with electric as the growth priority. These were professionals weighing a switch to electric, and their hesitation always came down to the same three things: range, payload, and charging. The old site buried the specs that answered those questions, blurred the two ranges together, and hid their biggest trust asset: a physical Preston HQ with its own EV-trained workshop.

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
Every decision tied back to converting fleet buyers and protecting the manufacturer relationship. The rebuild passed the SAIC MAXUS audits, safeguarding thousands a year in dealer bonuses, while the cleaner hero, scannable spec badges and mobile-first CTA drove more enquiries straight to phone and email. And because both brands run on the same system, they came away with a scalable base to keep building on, not a one-off site.

The foundation was a five-template modular system, one shared skeleton that both Maxus and their sister brand ran on, reskinned to each brand on top. On it I fixed what was losing leads: a high-contrast Electric versus Diesel toggle to isolate zero-emission vans instantly, product pages rebuilt around an at-a-glance spec strip putting battery, payload and range above the fold, a homepage campaign zone for their quarterly pushes, and lead forms stripped to four fields wired into their CRM with a sticky mobile CTA.
